TESTING PRIOR TO ARRIVAL IN ANTIGUA WILL NO LONGER BE REQUIRED FROM 16 MARCH 2022

However, all visitors to Antigua must be fully vaccinated and must show printed evidence on arrival in Antigua.


DEPARTURE TESTING

Depending on the requirement of the country to which you are travelling, you may have to take a Covid test prior to your departure from Antigua. At present both the USA and Canada accept a negative result from a Rapid Antigen test. Visitors returning to the UK no longer need a pre-departure test.

Testing is easy at Hermitage Bay. A medical professional will come to the hotel at the appropriate time to administer a Rapid Antigen test, at a cost of $124 USD per person, or a PCR test, at a cost of $250 USD per person. The turnaround time for the rapid result is 45 minutes. For the PCR test, you will need to present the bio page of your passport and travel itinerary along with a completed copy of this form. The usual turnaround time for a PCR is 24-48 hours but on occasion it can take longer.

Guests are asked to provide flight details and their test preference as soon as possible, so that we can book them a test appointment at the appropriate time before their departure.


ISLAND-WIDE COVID PROTOCOLS

As of 16th March masks are no longer required in Antigua and Barbuda.


HOTEL COVID PROTOCOLS

All our staff are fully vaccinated and a booster programme is now underway in Antigua.

Our 30 suites are private and detached with large outdoor deck areas, many of them with their own plunge pool. All our public spaces and dining areas are open-air, with the exception of the spa and the gym.

Our extensive sanitisation procedures comply with the latest WHO and Governmental guidelines and our staff have undergone a rigorous new hygiene and wellness training.


TESTING POSITIVE ON ISLAND

If you test positive for Covid-19 during your stay with us, including pre-departure, you will be asked to self-isolate in your suite and we will be guided by the Antiguan Government's health authorities' advice. If your symptoms remain mild, you will remain at the hotel but, if they worsen, you may be moved to a medical facility or an isolation unit.


CANCELLATION DUE TO INABILITY TO TRAVEL FROM YOUR HOME COUNTRY

If you cannot leave your home country, due to either a government lockdown or a positive Covid test, and you have to cancel your stay within the penalty period, you will have the option of moving your reservation to a later date. Your deposit will be transferred as a credit towards the new booking. Please note that if requesting a refund, proof of government travel restrictions or a positive Covid test must be provided along with your request.
