Golf and Tennis
There are two golf courses on island: The Jolly Harbour Golf Club, located just ten minutes from Hermitage Bay, and the Cedar Valley Golf Course, located 3 miles north of the capital, St. John’s.
The Jolly Harbour course is an established par 71, 18-hole championship golf course, and is open to visitors on a daily fee basis. The Cedar Valley Golf Course is a par 70, 6,157 yard course that welcomes players of all levels. The club offers a 300 yard driving range and resident professionals are available for private lessons.
In nearby Jolly Harbour, there are four floodlit tennis courts and one glass-backed squash court. The complex employs a resident tennis professional and lessons can be arranged.
